There is always something special about the B&B swim. It could be the sea creatures.
It could be friends catching up.
Or saying au revoir. Lainey is going to Bali today and by the time she gets back Sarah will have gone back to HK for a while. They won’t see each other again until October.
The wow factor.
It could be the joy of swimming with your partner
My fellow DY clubby Ros and her partner Steve
The anticipation of the early start
The early start
Or the knowledge that it’s much warmer in the water than out of it (note, no rounding)
Because we all know winter is coming
I could not help but be impressed by and maybe a little envious of Grant’s excellent hip flexibility.
The morning sun on the water was gorgeous (just a smidge of editing, truly!)
Milling about the point waiting for the lets go, or at least the consensus that someone heard it
While the fish below came and went as they pleased – damned anarchists!
It was Robert’s birthday today. Here he is with 2 of his adoring fans
And giving the let’s go while the rest of his fan club look on in admiration.
A few more rays
And duskies – well one anyway, but there are still lots of them about.
The crayweed at the point
A Sergeant Baker with a photobombing Crimson Morwong
Ian was looking for something. Actually I know what it was. A cuttlefish that I caused to disappear under a ledge. Sorry everyone.
The Bay is protected from the Southerly Swell that will be with us for the next few days. Hopefully this means we will have good underwater visibility. But there is also some swell for the board riders.
This is the cheesy one post haircut
And a bull terrier with a blue snout.

The Monthly Dinner – 14th May 2019 – Guest Speaker
The Next B&B monthly dinner for the year will be held on Tuesday 14th May at 6.30 pm at Bluewater Restaurant. Our guest on the night will be B&B Swimmer, Peter Anthony, who has a Masters in Communication and has written a book on conversations. And can make you better parents, better partners, even better lovers. Own your hook, claim the wall, master the benches. Learn how to tell your story in your own best words, and why your way is the best way.
Please book early for this event as it is sure to be popular. The cost of the dinner is great value at only $25 a head, which includes shared entrees, and a selection of mains to choose from (including a vegetarian option). Glasses of beer or wine and desserts are also available at the special price of only $5 each. Numbers are limited, so bookings are essential: To avoid disappointment and secure your spot please book at www.boldandbeautifulmanly.com.au/bb-bluewater-monthly-dinner.html
What am I listening to?
Yesterday something interesting came onto my social meeja feed. Chrissie Hynde will be releasing an album of covers. To me this was much more interesting than yesterday’s release of a new single by a younger American.
I listened to Chrissie’s cover of Caroline No by the Beach Boys – a song I quite like. Chrissie’s version was fairly nice, but it got me to thinking about the Pretenders, especially in their early days. Nothing nice about them back then.
The introduction here is a bit of fun but the announcer made a mistake. Pete Farndon was an Aussie. Jeez they were good. And this is a great live version.

Great blog Anne. Love the title and whole theme of blog with matching photos. The whole experience is so different every day but always memorable. So great to swim and stop and see bunches of swimmers looking down at sea creatures!
