Rusty & Chippos Pitch report:
Early morning at the beach, sitters waiting for the sun. The gang by the crossing think of surfing and see which one of them can tell the biggest lies. And 2 stand up paddle boards drift out to sea. Full tide, the swell has some size but no teeth. The chalkys have slept in, we are still at yesterday’s 22.3, warmer in than out. Viz is clearing, a slight smell at the point? Willy Weather has predicted a wind warning down Illawara Coast, but no impact here.
The 6am crew:
The governor heads off early scouting the bay. Reports filter back of a clearing jelly situation, a strong southerly overnight helping but not fully fixing. We head north at 630 not willing to battle the floating orange landmines.
The turning point off the Triton (stinger special run)
350 metres along a patch of jimbals. They’re gone now I karate chopped them into little pieces. A clear warm run.
Pete spotted 2 duskys cruising at the point. Stealthy the wavemaster set sail out wide looking for the ocean swell just savouring familar sights. Chippo sits on shore shaving a yak.
