23/03/2012 – Lov-er-ly Day

23/03/201216

92 Bold & Beautiful swimmers.

Absolutely beautiful swimming conditions this morning with blue skies and calm seas behind the lovely waves.

Just a few of this morning’s smiles 🙂

Soooo much activity this morning which is seriously impressive seeing as though it’s autumn and one week out from the end of daylight savings: 6 swimmers braved the dark setting off at 6.30am, 4 up to Queenscliff and 2 in to Shelly, 7 continued on for a double after the regular swim and 2 stroked on for a third 🙂

Check out the king of disguise…

And a few more happy swimmers 🙂

Conditions look like they are going to be even better tomorrow so I’m sure there will be plenty of swimmers keen to continue on from the Shelly swim for a leisurely 6km, feel free to join in.

Elaine de Jager is currently training for Sydney’s Half Marathon on 20th May with CanToo.  If you would like to support Elaine and help her raise money for Cancer Research please click here

Our super talented `Wall Of Thought’ would like to raffle their Bold & Beautiful inspired hand crafted treasures that each won a prize in the Kangaroo Valley Show last month.  The money raised will be donated to a non-profit ocean loving organisation, the Surfrider Foundation.

Tickets are $1 each and can be purchased after any morning swim from the wall of thought themselves; Annette, James, Maureen and Nicolee.  The raffle will be drawn on Saturday 28th April.

Prizes are all B&B inspired and hand-made as shown below; Annette`s three B&B dolls, Maureen’s Pie carrier (perfect for carrying pecan pies!) and Nicolee’s Jewellery (necklace and earrings).

Happy Birthday to Andrew Thomas and Yoka Kingma today 🙂

Well tomorrow is predicted to be absolutely lovely! Half meter swell from the south with south westerly wind and FULL SUNSHINE.
It would have to be a 6.30 start!!
No piking from the ladies please Linda and Sam [not their real names] You know who you are!!

I miss the salt water 🙂 Sorry it’s been so long to post…I forgot how hard it is to re-establish our lives in a difference country. I do miss the B&B pink. Couple things to catch up with everyone:
+ Jules…I’m working on those pics I promised. Couple more days.
+ I can never remember what those floating things are in the ocean…do they call them “Boo-ee’s” or is it “boys” with a U?
+ Sydney says hi and she misses all the morning cuddles
+ Last thing…why does everyone look at me funny when I wear the pink budgies over my swimmers…it’s like they’ve never seen it before here in the US
Seriously…I miss you guys. I’m going to work on a B&B contingent here in ATL, but it will never be the same as the Manly crew. Keep the love and keep in touch (davidrockies@aol.com)
