Welcome to CTBAR Fitness Centre – 78 of you turned up this morning 🙂
A fitness centre unlike others, it’s free and open all year round to anyone who likes to join in. At CTBAR (Cabbage Tree Bay Aquatic Reserve) we offer physical exercise, meditation, marine wildlife watching, social chit chat and general mental health maintenance. Priceless.

Yet another stunning sunrise with clear, warm water and flat enough to enable some stylish strokes.

And some more fabulous action shots:

Shelley Beach was a little bit warmer this morning compared to what it has been in the last week or so, don’t you think?

Finishing today’s blog post with a picture of Mermaid Lori, and a song springs to mind. Thank you for being a friend 🙂
That’s all from your Swedish Swordfish. Julie’s back on deck tomorrow, which I believe will offer up as lovely a dawn as we had today.

Don’t miss a great surfing film, “A Deeper Shade of Blue”, on at Manly Cinemas at the moment. Best action shots I’ve ever seen.

What a beautiful morning!! Clear and sunny, warm water, flat and lots of marine life with excellent visibility. It really doesn’t get much better.
FIFTEEN people turned up for the 6.30 swim!! That is fairly remarkable really. Ten went in to Shelly and five went north to Queenscliff and back.
Tomorrow, Saturday and Sunday are predicted to have nearly identical conditions to today with full sun and the same swell. Also offshore water temperature is nearly 24c.
I’m definitely in for the early one tomorrow and probably Saturday and Sunday as well by the looks of it.
6.30 in the water. Anyone else keen. Nick D??

Fifteen swimmers in the autumn darkness of 6.30am!!?? That is indeed remarkable and amazing. I think that legitimises the “Bold” in the name of our daily activity. As for the “Beautiful”, well that goes without saying, eh?
And Michael, you manage to make the Ghost Train sound tantalising. Maybe I’ll give it a go too..? Or maybe not.

Sensational conditions on the Ghost Train, silky, smooth, soothing water, fabulous temp. I thought I heard dolphins, did anyone else?
Will be there for tomorrows Ghost Train. Drop jackets for badging to me tomorrow, get in before I remove the red thread from my machine. Izzy & Mr. Bond especially, and anyone else.
