05/06/2012 – Pink Sand

05/06/20122

Over 63 Bold & Beautiful swimmers.

The spectacular winter sunrises are in full swing and Gaetan and James have both captured this morning’s beautifully for us.  What a treat to wake up to this every morning 🙂

Check out these three lovely, dramatic photos courtesy of Gaetan.

Plus these eight courtesy of James.  Gotta love the pink sand in the first photo and Jane calling for peace in the fifth 🙂

They say the sun always shines on the righteous 🙂

A little concentration was needed this morning as the waves are starting to wind up

Causing a bit of a splash…

It’s nice to have time to catch your breath as we wait for everyone to gather at the point

with just enough time to say hello to your friends 🙂

Then it’s off to Shelly we go, all together, for what was a swell swim today 😉

With just enough time at Shelly to readjust your goggles

Before the swim back, literally…

And a wave to ride all the way to shore if you choose.

It will definitely be worth coming down for a swim tomorrow morning, what with our sunrise view of Venus crossing the sun (remember please do not look directly at the sun) and the 21ft swell that’s currently predicted !!  It’s going to be southerly so we will be protected in the bay with only a 3-5ft surf at Manly.  However, if the predictions are correct the swell will put on a great display for us as we watch it collide with the headlands further up the coast.

We can always go in and out at Half Way Beach or even Shelly, so please don’t be deterred from coming down and joining in the fun tomorrow.

As an aside… do we have a roofer in B&B please ???  One of our swimmers has a leaky roof and would like to use someone from B&B if possible.  So if we have anyone please could you let us know asap, thank you.

What a beautiful swim it was today, the sky was so spectacular and the water beautiful. Big thank you to Cae for coming with me on the early swim, and also to the nice girl whose name I don’t know. It was just so lovely. I cant wait for tomorrow, anyone else coming early?
