The sunrise is right on 7am now, just as we enter the water. Beautiful !!
James was thrilled to have seen a couple of the big blue gropers at the Bower this morning. Thank goodness those illegal fisherman didn’t get them all !!

2 swimmers enjoyed an extra pre-dawn lap and 3 continued on for a double afterwards.
Gaetan took these lovely photos at 6.30 this morning. Not quite the spectacle of last week’s sunrise but a stunningly beautiful morning all the same. He also saw a pod of dolphins swimming north from the Bower at 8am. There probably the same pod that were around the Northern Beaches all day yesterday, lets hope they join us tomorrow !!

It was Bruce Paterson’s wish that we sing the Gracie Fields song “wish me luck as you wave me goodbye” as we celebrate his life and scatter his ashes off the point at 7am this coming Sunday morning, so please learn the words and the tune which you can find here
Check out Graeme McGuire on tour, taking a swim at the Hampstead Heath Ponds in the UK yesterday in balmy 15 degree water with no wetsuit. Good on ya Graeme 🙂

Brendan M is also swimming the midnight-6am shift as part of a team in the 24hour Mega Swim for MS. However one of his friends, Helen Conway is doing the whole 24hours by herself !!! Now that is impressive.

ahaha yeah maybe I should wear my wetsuit. Checking the weather for next week, it’s gonna be gorgeous but apparently it will be 6 degrees in the morning… wow this is certainly going to be fun! 🙂
