All badges are $10 each and for some of you there will be 3… the
regular winter badge, the WWW and the exclusive whale badge. Please
come along and lap up the excitement and kudos of being awarded your
well earned badge(s). We’re ordering one for every swimmer that qualified, so please make sure you claim yours so I’m not out of pocket, thank you.
Everyone is welcome to the badge ceremony, it’s a family affair

11 swimmers enjoyed an early dawn lap into Shelly whilst ~6 swam up to Freshie, with 2 equalling the same distance with 3 laps of Shelly. Pretty impressive for 15.5 degree water temp. I’m sure it will be warmer tomorrow 😉

Hi Jules, yesterday’s fish was indeed a male Herring Cale. I often see it in weedy areas, but I find it really hard to get close to because it seems to be always swimming around quite fast. The female is more often seen (it is the same shape but all light brownish).

Congratulations Jules. Whale was One unique event.
I saw a Mumma of a groper this morning. Cruising around a rock around 30m NE of the point.
Worth making the 630 swim for. Probably around 700-800mm long. (not quite as big as Mrs Whale)

I think they are confused about time zones, because the votes have not yet opened. If you scroll down the page, you can read how to cast your vote once it begins.

Thanks Julie, even though I would have done it anyway without the badge.
