In a week where Lainey ….left her undies at home (or so the story goes) when we know she really stuffed them in errr Jack’s errr ‘pocket’ and we all wonder what’s going to happen to the ‘beaut yute’ Holden fans …we turn up this morning for another cracking swim!
Is it because a couple of big buoys turned up?
…….they heard on the grapevine that the slowest 10k’er had finally arrived back to Shelly!
Congrats to all those that took on the elements and swam the 10km yesterday, here are a few pics care of Brad Edwards and Alison Harmer.
Remember you can take part in a Summer 6 or 10km swim badge ….happening every Saturday.
And you too can end up with sunburn marks like JK.
Here’s lovely LSA and Jon after their 10km marathon…..all very impressive!
Rocki road was available all in aid of charity today…yum!
Pink is the colour of Sunday!
New swimmers in full force.
Lovely to see you both.
Young swimmers
Let’s see how we managed the small waves this morning…..
Ready for them! Hell yeah!
Put your bravest squeamish face on.
Suck in that stomach ……hard!
Above all else, brace yourself in plenty of time before that knee deep wave hits you!
Shelly beach at 7:15am
Having a well earned rest.
Thanks for turning up Sky
That’s today’s swim for ya! And if your in Manly this afternoon, look out for the Christmas Genie 😉 taking part in Manly’s Santa Pub Crawl!
Summer (badge) swims are go!!
Summer Badge season is in go mode!! Every Saturday during summer there will be a 6km swim – usual route is to Freshwater and back, then once a month there is a 10km swim. Route depends on conditions that day so it is a good idea to arrive a little early to have a briefing from Squadron Leader John ‘007’ Bond. Next 10km swim…11 January.

No but dolphins were out there this morning! Queenscliff at 640am.
Just heard there was a shark alarm at Queensy yesterday as we swam past on the 10k.
It’s ok though, we were safe on the outside of the shark nets.

Great blog Snorks,
Who needs fish photos!
All the interest is in the wild life wearing the pink caps.
Sorry, I’m still gushing in my hero worship.
Hong Kong Triad Queen is sooo with this distance dodging now.
While patrolling as the integrity police , I notice Sarah riding a push bike back from Shelly.
Oh she’s good, so very very gooood.

Oh Shauny, wasn’t that you walking back by my side from Shelly this morning as I let Sky have a swim by accompanying her bike back? Or was it apres 10K hallucinations?

Snorkles, thank you so much for going to the trouble to retrieve pics from others and fb and to give us all such a lovely blog apres 10K! Yes, so lovely to stagger back to the home point this morning just in time for another Shelly run:)
All credit to this wonderfully supportive group and all the encouragement. Look forward to cheering on everyone else next time:-))

So glad I didn’t hear the shark alarm – I guess it doesn’t occur to them to also have the speakers facing out to sea:) Yeh, maybe safer on the outside…..

I was combining being a gentleman and walking Veena back to the club in combination with an oportunity to do an integrity police patrol.
Look who I sprung riding a bike back. I’m impressed with your dodging abiliity but do you have Manly cabs number for the trip back tomorrow?
Haha.
Oh and we were also talking about your extra Shelly tick yesterday as well.
How does that work again?
Haha
