Some fun stats to start off with:
1 year since Julie left (her ‘last’ swim 18th January)
2500 people have ‘joined’ us since Julie left!
6500 people have swum with us (since we first started taking attendance)
12 June 2010 – First ever ‘proper’ BnB blog – Click here to read it
1345 BLOGS have been posted since then
517227 – Total ‘hits’ of the blog since it started – that’s half a million!
4663 – Highest ever ‘reads’ of ONE blog EVER, 24 July 2012,WHALE DAY! click here to read
400 and counting – The total number of my GREAT new friends since I joined 🙂
0 – Elaine’s successful attempts at matchmaking ;-p
And to today’s swim!
Conditions were choppy and visibility to be honest looked pretty murky and a bit scarey!!

Greg from the Gong – was in the Boat Shed last night at 11pm when he heard about Bold and Beautiful and promptly put his beer down and went home so he would be able to join us in the morning! Which he did! AND he made it there and back! (And no it strangely wasn’t Elaine he met at the Boatshed!)

Having a rest at Shelly – nice to be able to relax at Shelly during the summer months!
Even Bruce is now ‘Apping’ on!
Interesting collection of rubbish!
And just in case you didn’t see enough photos of swimmers in pink caps – here are some more from Stephen:

One last thing:
Did anyone find a silver ring on TUESDAY (or after)? If so please hand to Ian F/John K or myself!!
Have a great day everyone!

B&B Attendance Login
Come on folks – this is the most efficient way to capture your swims. It’s a smart phone friendly website so no need to download, just mark it as a bookmark. There are so many good reasons to use the B&B Login – like no queues, no need for glasses to find your name, and never missing the 7am call.
To get started, send an email to Ian Forster (ugoboyo@gmail.com). He will check that your email address is activated on the attendance register then send you info on how to get started. Happy clicking.
Summer badge swims
Every Saturday during summer there will be a 6km swim – usual route is to Freshwater and back; then once a month there is a 10km swim – this is to South Curl Curl and back. However, the final route depends on conditions that day so it is a good idea to arrive a little early to have a briefing from the designated swim leader. Both swims kick off at 7am.
Next 10km swim to be announced.

One of Bold and Beautiful partners is StudioTri in Balgowlah who offer TRX suspension training www.studiotri.com.au
TRX suspension training is a revolutionary style of training that plays a large emphasis on core. We’ve all heard the phrase, “use it or lose it” right?
Well our TRX training gives those who are entering an age where they still like to keep fit and active but understand the importance of keeping their bodies strong especially their core.
Prevent back problems, increase Bone Mineral Density and feel great. Ask your G.P if any of those are important as we start to get on in life. I know what they’ll say!
Above is some pics of one of our very own clients in the TRX for over 50’s class that we host on Monday nights from 5:00pm.
A testimonial from one of their clients:
My name is Elizabeth and I have been attending Studio Tri for about two and a half months.
I have been recovering from a skiing injury to my shoulder and I really needed some training that would help me regain both my fitness, strength and muscle tone.
Simon suggested that I come to the TRX classes in addition to the indoor cycle classes that I already attend up at the studio.
I have been attending the TRX classes regularly since then and I am extremely happy with the results. My overall strength has improved and I have noticed a big change in muscle tone, flexibility and core strength. This all means that I also look better which, let’s face it, is a nice side benefit!
I am about to increase the sessions to twice a week and I can only assume that the improvements will keep escalating.
I love going to Studio Tri, Simon is an excellent coach and he has encouraged me to achieve results well beyond my initial expectations.
During the period of my training I have been continuing to see my physio, and he has also noticed that I have increased flexibility and strength at the site of my injury and he agrees that the TRX training has been of great benefit.
I cannot recommend it highly enough!

I found a bunch of keys with a red tag in the changerooms this morning. I handed them in to the surf club.

Love the stats Lesbubbles! But if there’s been 6,500 people swimming with us, and you have 400 new friends, I feel awful sorry for those 6,100 people who have missed out.

Lesbubbles, so glad you’re back!! I missed you!!
This morning I ran into some plastic which was so dirty and disgusting that I was about to reluctantly stuff it in my swimmers when Derek My Saviour offered to put it in the sleeve of his wetsuit – thank you so much Derek!! I owe you a coffee 🙂

As to Elaine not succeeding at matchmaking……. I think everyone is in love with Silky 🙂
Silky Pie Honey Bunch
In and out my life (in and out my life)
You come and you go (you come and you go)
Leaving just your picture behind….(ooh)
And I’ve kissed it a thousand times (ooh)
Wanna tell you I don’t love you,
Tell you that we’re through
And I try….
But ev’ry time I see your face,
I get all choked up inside
When I call your name,
Girl, it starts to flame
Burning in my heart,
Tearing it all apart..
No matter how I try
My love I cannot hide..

its because of Lainey Loo’s failure at matchmaking that we need to do the balderdash !! Gotta get rid of the energy.

Bill,
Lainey Loo advises Silky has been frequenting Cobblers beach – scene of month’s, Sydney Skinny – you’ll get to swim with her on equal terms!
Lainey Loo has already registered to do it this year! Lucy too.
