We are told that being human we have the unique privilege of being able to make a choice from the options that life presents to us. In the early morning, making these choices presents us with that other unique human attribute – dilemma!!
The sun rise is always beautiful, and each one different. Even today’s sunrise was asking ‘why’. Can you see the question mark above Shelly?

This morning’s gently breeze had many questioning if it was time to don the wetsuit. The water temperature has dropped a few degrees to 20.2 – which is borderline for some. . .

Then to top if off, JK announced that the rip is still strong plus some of the sets were rather large. So many decisions and it is not yet 7am!!

The Dinks Express reported that indeed there were some big waves, but assured us that there was no significant power in them.

While some chose the half-way option – and aren’t we lucky to have that alternative – the majority hit the surf.

The rolling swell challenged my camera’s efforts to focus so I have an amazing selection of fuzzy photos of Cathy at the point!! However, I did manage to capture the amazing full moon over Manly and St Pats catching the sunrise!

The Shelly push up team is gaining momentum. 007 had a totally international squad today.

With the swell the water clarity has diminished – so no fishy photos today. A very large flathead and a Port Jackson were spotted – so there are fish out there. . .
Returning to Manly, with the now fully risen sun and the waves rolling in dotted with pink caps – it is a beautiful sight. Clearly, today’s best option was to go for a swim.

Did you leave something behind? Found in the ladies change room after the swim – goggles and cap!!

Have a great day and may all your decisions be successful ones!

Hi All, if anyone found a pair of black speedo goggles floating in the surf can you let me know please? (unlikely I know!) …goggels were ripped off by those waves the Drinks Express said had no power! cheers

Beautiful sunrise, beautiful moon, beautiful swim (as you show, Mary)….. we love our options! At brekkie, everyone I spoke to had gone for a different option – getting as complicated as the coffee orders:
Beach Skinny White Return, Half Latte Shelly Return, Half latte Full Beach Return, Lainey Skip Jump Snorkel Back, Shauny Shelly Run Tea Bag Plunge, Storchy Sleep Over, Double Sunrise Splendour, Lips Splash ‘n Dash Speed Date…..

You’ve missed 4 out of the last 5 mornings, Lesbubbles.
Just wondering, are you going to bring Mr. Insomnia down for a swim at some stage?

Another big question at brekkie was: How ever will Miles survive his Channel swim?
After an hour or two in 20.2 degree water, he couldn’t stop shivering after getting fully dressed and drinking his coffee. He has the first and coldest Channel swim at the beginning of July and no sign yet that he’s put on any weight…. You’d better swim super fast, Miles!!
Could we have a running commentary here as well as on your blog, like we did for Iain before? Same for any other Channel swimmers, so we can all give support…
