02/04/201420

Lesbubbles reporting straight from the beach. On the spot blogging!!

And it was absolutely beautiful down here.

The water was warm and clear…. Great sunrise!!

This is double-lap time … It’s perfect!
John Bond says “it was a 10 out of 10 for a double”….7 people joined him today … In fact he might even do a TRIPLE tomorrow!!  So why don’t you try it tomorrow too if you have time?!

As well as my photos from this morning check out the new Bold and Beautiful album we have set up.. You can also add your own photos to it !! Or comment on the ones there!

There’s an old joke: Two elderly women are at a Catskill mountain resort, and one of them says, “Boy, the food at this place is really terrible.” The other one says, “Yeah, I know, and such small portions.” Well, that’s essentially how I feel about this blog.

I thoroughly enjoyed this morning’s swim, best one I’ve done, saw at least 5 Wobbe’s and a gazillion other fish, absolutely beautiful 🙂

Table discussions this morning related, as is commonly the case, to improving one’s swimming.
I mentioned this guy Shinji Takeuchi and I copy some links to his Youtube videos

Oh Lips, just because you didn’t make the cut! With only 5 pics and two taken by dogs, you have to work that much harder as Bernhard and I did as seen at the end of our magical early double:-))
Thanks for being such a good sport, Berhnhard – staying with me for the entire swim in such good humour, even after your night at the opera xxx

“On the spot blogging” – great idea for those in a hurry who know how to use their smart phones and who don’t have a panic attack at the thought of it! See Lesley if you think you are trainable.

If the April 1st topic ever comes to be, as we are at an iconic Aus location, BnB could become
    BBm: Bloody Bewdy mate!
    – which aptly describes all participants and the swims / doubles this week.
Re blog: “10/04/2014 – Have we become too famous?”, I was expecting it would be about the topic: TripAdvisor rates Shelly and Manly above Bondi.
    http://www.tripadvisor.com.au/TravelersChoice-Beaches
From the list of 25 beaches in Australia ratings 2014, Sydney beaches are:
    4 Shelly Beach
    7 Manly Beach
    13 Palm Beach
    17 Cronulla Beach walk
19 Ned’s Beach Lord Howe Island (not quite Sydney but is part of NSW)
    23 Bondi Beach
No surprise the No. 1 rated beach in Oz is Whitehaven beach.
We don’t want to be overly famous!
Today’s double was nearly as good as the 31/03 double.
    Apparently yesterday’s was the best.
The 01/04 blog might be hinting at the beginnings of a move to start a dog-paddle division of BnB.

whoops! wrong blog date in my comment above, should be:
Today’s (not 01/04) blog might be hinting at the beginnings of a move to start a dog-paddle division of BnB.

I’ve loaded about 10 photos from today’s swim on the Flickr site. There are a couple of shots of everyone at Shelly, a couple of swimmer shots at Shelly inc the amazing children that swam today, the fast swimmers taking off and an eagle ray, wobbegong, gropers and cute leatherjacket. I’ve also loaded a few from other days inc my photos of Mauricio’s wobbegong rescue and a couple of shots of Lips and Ducky underwater from Monday.
I agree it’s a great idea doing a blog like this when we haven’t got so much time Lesbubbs and Jules!
