It was a perfect morning for Jules Isbill’s return visit today! If it wasn’t for Jules and her lovely partner Michael, this amazing daily drama wouldn’t exist. She started the B&B swim off over 5 years ago and worked hard to make it the inclusive, friendly, popular activity it is now. Thank you Jules and Michael! Great to have you with us for a few days!
Spectacular sunrise as the Drinkless Express entered the ocean at 6.30am…

Clacker shot of the day is of Storchy’s Booty Campers! Another free, welcoming, friendly activity available to all every Mon, Wed and Friday from 6-7am. Best pre-swim warm up!

Here are June, Rod and friends, who also encompass the generous Manly spirit. They hand out free lollies to passers by!

Lovely Jules appears and congratulates Bruce on his son’s new job, Premier of NSW!

World famous Lips gives Jules a welcome hug. (Well he is number 4 if you google ‘jimble’)
The ‘Budgie Parade’ that will be a feature of most of my blogs from now on! (It’s Lainey Loo btw filling in for Lesbubbles who is having a well deserved break π

A re-enactment of the meeting of Mike Baird and Vicar Tim at the weekend. Tim featured in the newspaper in his pink budgies shaking Mike’s hand but forgot to hold his tummy in. His friends have been calling him Teletubbie Tim ever since, so he shows us what a bit of tummy suck can do!

Β …

Mother and daughter pose…

It’s amazingly clear as soon as we start swimming today with loads to be seen before we even reach The Point. Blackfish and Rabbitfish below…

This Blind Shark has been hiding in the rocks close to The Point for weeks!

Spangled Emperor

Mados and Silver Sweep

Sergeant Baker perched on a rock…

Juvenile Sergeant Baker

A ball of catfish swirling around together! (These were in the rocks near the yellow shed.)

Β “Let’s Go” at The Point.

Β The first swimmers arrive at Shelly.

Β Elizabeth gives flippers a go today and flies to Shelly!

Ian and his son Cam, Booty Camp and swim together today.

And blog tart for an underwater shot!

How lucky was I to spot a cute, small cuttlefish close to the rocks only 100 metres from the beach on my swim in?!!! (3 disguises in 2 minutes!)

Β Miles below (with shirt undone) body surfed ‘The Bommy’ or Bombora at the weekend during one of his Channel Swim training swims with The Frosty Nuts. (I’ll try and repost Sprout Daily’s photo of him doing it later.)
Apres-swim photos of our swimmers…
Dr John aka John Jackson in the second photo down is swimming from Manly to Bondi on 21st June with a group of B&Bers. They are raising money for Bear Cottage. They really need a support boat or two. If anyone can help please comment in blog comments below!

My daughter Clare is running free demo classes for her new music programme for 0-4 year olds, tomorrow in Brookvale and Friday in Curl Curl.
Anyone with children that age is welcome to come to a free demo class and stay afterwards for a chat with tea, coffee and Anzac biscuits! The first round of demos went fantastically well and everyone had lots of fun.

Thanks for the great blog Elaine- it captured a lovely swim. While the air is cooler, the water remains a good temp. Also love your sign off photo- touch of glamour.

Thanks for your comment Liz….we just need a motorised vessel that would be able to cross the heads….we would of course cover all fuel and time costs…do you have a bright idea? Cheers! John
