How Did You Greet the New Year?

01/01/20158

How did you greet the New Year? I like many could have done with a sleep in… but somehow found this one on my face.

Thinking I could still sleep through, Sterling then appeared at the door… ‘swim time…’ ‘swim time…’

And then this appeared by my bedside… breakfast of champions… berocca, coffee shot and half a banana!

OK, I will swim… And what a swim! Cracking morning…

Good to see lots of the Triple Crown contenders backing up on New Years morning. Brad was a very deserving champ in the Summer Triple after a month of fine form. But just to show how equal it is up the front, this morning the Spaniard and I got him around the rocks… The Easter Triple Crown is shaping up as a Classico.

Well what are your Bold and Beautiful New Year resolutions? Perhaps to increase the amount of swims you do each week? Perhaps to be a contender in a Triple Crown? Maybe one of the distance swims? Maybe to get yourself some funky pink swimmers? Whatever it is, what a wonderful community to be a part of heading into 2015!

Finally this morning it was off to coffee where it was resolved that 2015 is going to be the year of speaking the truth. Then we decided nah… lets just be silly sausages again!

Have a great New Years Day and I look forward to seeing you in the water in 2015.

The Bishop.

Hi Adam. The Triple Crown in an unofficial race between some of our swimmers who normally finish at the front of the group (the A-Team as it were). Since we are an inclusive group, the race is open to all comers, including you if you are so inclined. Most of us more leisurely swimmers prefer to take our time when we swim and “smell the roses” as it were. While the A-Teamers are very fast swimmers, don’t ask them what a Wobbygong is, as they have never seen one 🙂

Great blog Bishop and well done on another early rise on this of all days. I had one of your suggested NY resolutions on my list but am now inspired to also add “more time spent being a ‘silly sausage'” One of my top highlights of 2014 was definitely listening to the hilarious silly banter about nothing over a coffee at one of the B&B haunts after an invigorating swim. Heres to much more of it in 2015!

    Great blog Tim
I always look forward to Thursdays blog to catch up on what Sterlo has been up to.
This weeks instalment has Sterlo entering your bedroom.
    This is suddenly getting scary!

Wait…I seem to have my bookmarks mixed up.
Naked men taking photos of each other in the bedroom?
Tri wizard tournament? I thought this was about swimming? Help!
