It’s raining babies!

Hi All,

The stork is circling high in the sky above Manly which must mean babies are close by. So what better theme than to have Lucy’s baby shower post swim today. I counted 4 other pregnant woman either swimming or supporting today’s swimmers.

There was a big group of swimmers today, well over 200! Water was a little mirky but the temperature was almost perfect.

Here’s a thought, what is the suggested collective name for a group of B&B swimmers? If a group of peacocks is an ostentation, a group of flamingos is a flamboyance surely a group of B&B swimmers deserves such a colourful group name…..any suggestions?

Did you know that it’s Duke’s Day today? It was on this morning of 10 January 1915, 100 years ago. A crowd of people, representative of a young Australian nation, at Freshwater beach witnessed the spark that ignites a passion for the surf and a beach culture that has identified this nation to this day.

Duke’s Day is a day to honour & revere the father of surfing in Australia – Duke Kahanamoku. It is a day to raise awareness, kindness and living in harmony with the coastal environment much in the way of Duke’s philosophy. So get down to Freshie is you have the time!
