Pounding surf conditions along Manly Beach even prevented the surf life saving competition from entering the water zone at our usual entry point.
A throng of 190 swimmers assembled at the waters edge, including 20 newbies! Well done!
At a temperature of 22 degrees, there is really no excuse for not getting into the B&B action 🙂
Notices:
Sunday
Bold and Beautiful will again start from Shelley Beach tomorrow (7am – you know it!).
Monday
Australia Day will be huge so join in the fun! To ensure safe passage of an enlarged group, could some of the experienced B&B swimmers please take on “Lantern Rouge” duties at the back to shepherd everyone home? Good onya 🙂
Karaoke Night

And remember … always be safe in the surf – know the conditions and your swimming ability.
Enjoy the rest of your day everyone!

Looks like a good (different) swim today – there I was, practising in the local pool, with the bandaids and stuff floating below me, and again had to imagine I was really at Manly. There was this poor teenage girl, who’s there every Saturday, training for something. Her trainer keeps telling her to do “just another 400, just 500 of butterfly, no mucking around!” etc. So she complains between the laps, and puffs on her asthma puffer, and probably wishes she was somewhere else. Poor thing – I thought swimming was meant to be fun! That’s my rant over – have a good weekend everyone, and I hope to see you on Monday.

Lovely blog Anna. Thank you for stepping in for Declan. Looks a great swim which I missed as I was running. I agree Margot, poor pool swimmers following the black line…Our swim and community really is the best!
