Tuesday 3rd: Assume the Position … Lose your clothes

03/02/20159

At 6 a.m. these days the darkness is starting to linger …

Chiro Cara is a great communicator, and protects our knees with clear instructions.  With regular practice, she can now levitate about six inches …

Dave strikes a Usain Bolt

Jennifer is truly dedicated to her practice … gulls are also able to stand on one leg

Yoga includes many series of flowing actions.

Eventually, you get to meet your own feet

One week to go … Bolds Karaoke is ready to rock!  bookings are essential for the Karaoke Night on 10th Feb.  Book HERE NOW to avoid disappointment!  Thanks to Vanessa for creating the poster!  Click on it; zoom in, and you’ll see the usual suspects

Flashbacks to Australia Day Weekend:

Manly SLC kids trooping the colours at that massive national surf carnival the other week.  Our surfboat rower Rob says it is the second biggest annual carnival in Australia

“That’s why
I always feel like – somebody’s watching me
And I have no privacy”

When Greg’s lips suffered trumpet-buzz, he told everyone to nick off home

Back to today.  Renae ran the beach instead of going to Shelly, and finished off with a dip.  “Just teabagging it,” she says, of her swim.

Beware the Barb of Fate

Bench Cafe’s barista Hakan (above right) last year stepped on a small stingray in the harbour – near Fairlight beach.  He saw nothing when struck, and was in about two feet of water.  Hakan squeezed the tiny barb out immediately.  What was to follow would be several daily trips to hospital for intravenous drips; three courses of different antibiotics, plus visits to various doctors.  This photo was taken only last Friday; six weeks after the injury.  It looks like Hakan has months ahead of him yet, before attaining a decent recovery.  And yes; it is still so very massively swollen.  The black nail polish is one friend’s attempt at alternative healing with medicinal paint …

Oh, no! – not more about the old bloke.   He’s more popular than the Prime Minister.

After the swim: Matt’s happily into his morning …

Contest: Whose Tatt is That?

LOST – LOST – LOST

Hi all

Someone must have accidentally picked up my hoodie this morning after the 7.00am swim.  One moment it was lying amongst the bags and the next moment it was gone.  It is dark grey and lightweight cotton. (Not the B&B one).   I was getting changed on the coffee shop side if the norfolk pine by the surf club.
Cheers
Dan

John Rankin will return this Kathmandu top tomorrow morning.

“He said he didn’t mean it
And I never said he did …

… He said I mustn’t worry
T’was an accidental snatch
Of someone else’s windcheater
He’d mistaken for a match”

B&B Karaoke Night

See the gaudy costumes!  Hear the hidden talent!  Feel the mirth!  And wet your pants laughing …

Dress up as a rock star!  Please note that bookings are essential for the Karaoke Night on 10th Feb.  Book HERE NOW to avoid disappointment.

B&B and REDFEB Heart Research 2015

REDFEB is Heart Research Australia‘s signature fundraising campaign, raising funds for research into the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of heart disease.  They approach sporting groups across Australia, and ask them to log kilometres travelled onto a virtual map.  This year they have several Aussie maps: for cyclists, joggers, swimmers etc – with the mileage circumnavigating the land mass.

B&B will again be assisting this cause in 2015 by participating in the virtual REDFEB Relay and helping to lap the map of Australia!  Last year in February our Bolds swam over 8,700 km and raised $2,200.  Our aim this year will be to beat that figure.  After last February’s 8700 km and $2200, our aim this year will be to raise over $3,000. To view our B&B team page CLICK HERE
You can donate funds on the team page, or even better, you can create your own page where all your friends can donate towards the cause.  To create your own page and join the B&B team, just go to the team page and simply click “join”.  You will then be taken through the steps to create your own page.  On your own page you can input your kilometres and also raise funds.  All funds raised on individual pages will accumulate to the B&B team total.  Ian Forster has already raised $500, and the month is only three days old.  Thank goodness I’m not sponsoring Brendan Maher!

To highlight the fundraising, B&B will be going RED on
Valentine’s Day – Saturday 14th February
when we will be swapping our pink caps for RED ones.  This year, the Manly Beach Health Club has joined us and is sponsoring the red caps.  To help with your heart health, Manly Beach Health Club is also offering B&B members a free 30 min Personal Training session.  To find out how to take advantage of this offer, go to

Very funny blog Roger – but ouch! that stingray barb! And we wade through packs of them on the way out.

Haha nice blog Roger. Like your ‘Stats’ too but I got my parking spot at 5.27am! Some great yoga photos, especially Eva’s. See you all tonight from 6.30pm folks for Wilf’s party, Moonshine Bar, top floor of The Steyne. Wilf has got James Partington and The Troubadors playing and is laying on some pizza and Brasilian bbq finger food too!

That is definitely Tim’s tat!! We all thought he was such a well-behaved lad in winter but then he took off his wetsuit and revealed his true side!! Lesbutt still gets flustered when she sees the tatts…

You’re both right about the Tat which I’m very proud of. Brad did suggest this morning that he’s proud of his too, but apparently it’s not even visible when he’s wearing his buddy smugglers!!!
