For the first time ever in the history of the B&B most of us all waited at The Point for John Kelly’s ‘Let’s Go’ today! Huddled really close so he got suspicious! On the ‘Let’s Go!’ nobody went. (Except for John Bond 🙂 ) HAPPY BIRTHDAY JK!
Today’s swim is all about the funny, the friendly, the down to earth, the kind and generous, the hard working and hard core, the amazing and one of a kind… Mr John Kelly!!!
Here he is on his wedding day with his lovely wife Joyce.
… and here he is after salvaging some rubbish and keeping it in a very safe place!
Our favourite Scouser who does such a lot to keep this swim group going…
He proves to us that you can still look smart after an early swim and go straight to work!
He hides a few secrets but we had our suspicions…
Today’s swim…
The Point has never been so cosy!
Not quite the stunner of a colourful sky as yesterday but the water was calmer and clearer. Once again it was one of those special swims…
JK had such a soaking when we sang ‘Happy Birthday”, it was hard to get a photo of him with his eyes open!
Jim, Jane and I were lucky enough to see a Duskie swimming over the flat rocks near the hut, looking big but beautiful!
Old Wives and King Fish hanging together…
We came across Lori and Anna, happy to oblige and swim with the Old Wives.
Love this photo!
and the gorgeous Diamond Fish
Jim tried to dive like Anna but needs a wee bit more practise 😉
Ted and Sterling’s birthdays are at the weekend! Come down The Skiff Club Saturday arvo for a drink or 2! Isn’t Panda looking good?
Here he is our birthday boy, looking exceedingly ‘dapper’ as usual and enjoying birthday cake at The Benches!
Hope you like my short video of the beautiful Hawksbill Turtle I spotted around from The Point a few days ago. (Thanks for helping me upload Shelly aka Ian) I had to wait for him to come out from beneath a rock… but when he did it was SO worth it!
And my video of the cuttlefish that has been hanging around 200 metres off Shelly. I can take you to the spot if you ask!

But I’m not sure about this comment..”(Thanks for helping me upload Shelly aka Ian) I had to wait for him to come out from beneath a rock… but when he did it was SO worth it!”
I don’t think I was under a rock. I’d been to Bluewater.
As with all good Reds JK has aged magnificently ! Judging by the Wedding photos !! Might even go as far as to say he was lucky to get married at all ! especially to such a gorgeous lady! definitely punching above his weight.
Love you all
