Sat 6/6: Cloud nine

06/06/201512

The clouds were spectacular this morning.  Fluffy, puffy, white clouds turned into brooding cauldrons of bubbling droplets.  A rainbow appeared briefly after the “let’s go” call, and brilliant sunshine sweetened the mood of all who tasted it.  The water, although cool upon entry, was delightfully clear.  I’m sorry for those who missed it, for it was indeed the most splendid Saturday morning!

A brisk and “fresh” start:

A wobbygong came out to play:

And then promptly hid again:

Claire and her daughter:

Meanwhile, somewhere in the Mediterranean…

Enjoy the loooong weekend!

Anna Bananna 😀

Love your first paragraph Anna. Describes the clouds and beautiful morning perfectly! Patrick Coleman brought his niece Louise from Dublin along today for her first swim. It was fantastic having Ed back in the water with us today too! It was also Jalna’s 1000 km swim. She fooled us and told us it was tomorrow to avoid the sash, tiara and archway and is off to Bali tomorrow!
    Amazing photos too Anna.

Beautiful blog Anna and those eloquent words describe the sky and swim perfectly.
Amazing to have Ed swimming with us today (although back in for an op Wednesday), Dr Patrick’s niece Louise from Dublin swam her first swim and Jalna swam her 1000 kilometre!

    Ed,
sorry I missed seeing you today; good luck with the op.
    Jalna,
congratulations. 1,000 km is a lot of swims and a great achievement. Your distance ahead of mine is like Sydney to almost Yamba!!! – way over the horizon from where I am in the fleet.
Water clarity today was as good as it gets, 30 m + at a guess
