Rays of light beamed skyward out of a bank of low-lying clouds. Orange, peach and pink hues spread beneath, emptying into the swell on the horizon. Soon the sun peeked its head over the silver lining and bathed us as completely as our immersion in the salty slosh. The sandy sediment of the shore churned as if stumbling and was held suspended in our pathway to The Point. The odd piece of seaweed was scooped up with outstretched hands and left in the wake of streamlined bodies. The swell increased as we swam into Shelley with a slick splash of speeding legs and a spattering of arms…

I love the action swim photos from Shelley. John Bryan did the Bolderdash so makes me think about starting to consider making a plan to think about doing one. The jumbles today must be misfit myth busters – Myth#1 jimbles avoid the waves: wrong! I got song in the waves. Myth#2 they avoid sun. Wrong. I wish the conformist jimbles would come back for a short season next year and these guys would move elsewhere

No shocking sets, no sharks, no sex – simply stunning.

Beautiful poetic description of the sky and swim Anna and wonderful first shot! “Slick splash of speeding legs’ 10/10 for alliteration!

Lainey – thank you. ‘S’ alliteration is the theme today 🙂 I hope you are feeling a lot better after your dip.
