Mornin’ all. Inner Westies hogging the sunday blog. And we all know it wasn’t sunny today, but great to be together hitting the surf.
We need some notices up front. 125 swimmers, 7 newbies and the water was warmer than the air – 20 degrees. Here’s the notice board:
Which reminds me……….. our very special 007 John Bond clocked his 2,500kms. Amazing. CONGRATULATIONS! (Although no badge….). If you check out the pacific challenge chart, you’ll see JB is somewhere between Townsville and Cairns still swimming away. Reckon I might have reached Gosford…
And final notice of the day – please don’t leave any swimming gear in front of the surf club garage doors. Club staff need to get their gear in and out and may take away our precious swimming hooks if they get cranking…
Enough of admin. On with the show!
Morning Matt
And Deb
Richard limbering up
Swimming cosy of the week belongs to Alison
Let’s get swimmin’
I just made it to Shelly in time to hear Ian shout “let’s go”.
Friendly banter (trying to drown Rainer!)
Christian, Thomas and Michaela from Germany – first swim and welcome!
Hi Geoff
Good swim Lisa!
Buddies
More buddies (Hi Melise!)
Lovely ladies and their rescuer
Speaking of rescuing…. have a swim buddy – always swim with someone, near a group and walk back if you’re feeling tired.
The view from the walk isn’t that bad either!
See you next week. Em, Fi1, Fi2 and Mickey
