Manly’s  weeklong Australia Open of Surfing finished yesterday.

Winning their 5th round heats on Friday were:

Tyler Wright (niece to B&Ber Sandy) took a selfie with me.

Laura Enever (last years winner) kindly posed for this shot.

But the final winners, with plenty for “rooster tails”, were:

Dion Atkinson

and  Nikki Van Dijk.

Just over a week ago at least 9 of our B&Bers completed the Iconic 20KM swim  to Rottnest Island in WA.

Such a achievement deserves our congratulations.

Here are some insight shots:

The pre 6am start.

Jackson, Mark & Sam all numbered up.

Mark’s escort boat.

Clair getting ready for a change over with Sam, (see supporter Nic on the kayak) .

Clair’s pink finger nails in full flight.

Jackson with his medal.

Fran with Johnno, Shaun & Penno who did a charity Rotto relay in support of their friend Mark who is suffering from brain cancer.

    Nice one Simon.
Gotta love that surprise drop in water temp the last few days. And people’s faces as they enter the water!
