I have been doing ancestry.com dna tests which has been an interesting exercise. I dont know if science has caught up but I think there must be a single ancestor to all swimmers. That is why this group have started to wear the same swimmers and are so close that they can all fit in one shot.

Water polo champs. I love watching water polo and thing water polo players are the best. I tried to catch them swimming but the camera was not fast enough!!

The wetsuited swimmers are going to NZ for an Ironman in Lake Taupo in 3 weeks. WOW. I am not sure but I think they said they were setting off today to swim to the start. And their swimming was good enough to do it.

The shower scene. When the SMH did an article on BB, they included a shower scene – Andrea has engaged an agent on the back of that so – enjoy

this is a shot of of fish eating a jelly fish. I will send the original to Anne Henshaw to fix up the clarity because she was not able to see this phenomenal animal kingdom event herself

Early swimmers coming out

Friendship and expertise help setting the pacing tracker

Angela is hoping the traffic gods are kind to her getting to work today

How big was the kingfish?

Justus at the point when I was there

An elbow. Sigh because I am impressed

Henrietta is also doing ancestry investigations. We had a nice chat about it

Thanks for recording this phenomenal human kingdom event…topical for me as I’m reading Sapiens atm. Not sure about the ancestry but I’ve known some Neanderthals in my time (none of them swimmers, of course)

Amazing blog again Elizabeth including so many swimmers! That huge Kingfish gave me a fright too! You may have not adjusted your camera to underwater setting ( 2 fish) but I’m in awe of your inclusive blogs x
