A goodly amount of cloud cover meant that it was very dark this morning. This did not discourage the early swimmers of which there was a huge number today.
Bit of seaweed washed up on the shore but I am glad it was not in the sea. On the baton transfer between early and 7 am swimmers there was a good trudge through it required
Newbie Ryder went to beautiful North Head to see the sunrise recently but instead saw the beautiful site of the early swimmers in their pink caps swimming across Cabbage Tree Bay so he joined today. Welcome Ryder and I hope you loved the swim. The conditions were lovely today
Swimmers and swimmer to be
Ian and Michael joined today. They are at a Strategic Planning (yawn) workshop today and usually swim at Bondi so they have travelled overseas to get here. Welcome. I still recall the international water polo show match at Bondi Icebergs I watched a few years ago where the water polo was great but the star of the show was the Bondi with waves washing the ref into the pool over and over under a dramatic sky.
Also, my favourite reality show is Bondi Rescue. I get all my information about Bondi beach comes from that show.
This group is a lot wiser than me about swimming in the sea
John and John -nice swimmers in both senses
Matching beauties

Ernie from Canadia!!!
He has been coming to Manly for 5 years and manages to attract the attention of the blogger. I think it is because he LOVES the swim. Lovely to see you again! I am a Lucky blogger today
The doublers at Shelly while I was looking for the turtle
I saw this but while it was nice, even with Cheryl seeking to help me, I did not see the turtle. It was being koi today

The Monthly Dinner – 10th March 2020 – Wine Tasting
The next B&B monthly dinner will be held on Tuesday 10th March at 6.30 pm at Bluewater Restaurant. Special guest, David Webster, will present the range of Bold and Beautiful wines especially for B&B members and their friends. The Bold and Beautiful wines were born out of the idea of creating a village wine for Manly. The wines comprise two wines made in the Hunter Valley by rising star James Becker of M&J Becker Wines. The red, “The Beautiful”, is a Shiraz Viognier blend made in a very light style perfect for summer drinking. The white, “The Bold”, is 100% Chardonnay made in a fruit forward style with strong Chardonnay flavours but low oak usage. Once you have tasted the wines, you can purchase bottles through the restaurant to enjoy over dinner.
Please book early for this event as it is sure to be popular. The cost of the dinner is great value at only $25 a head, which includes shared entrees, and a selection of mains to choose from (including a vegetarian option). Glasses of beer or wine and desserts are also available at the special price of only $5 each (please note, NO BYO). Numbers are limited, so bookings are essential. To avoid disappointment and secure your spot please book atwww.boldandbeautifulmanly.com.au/bb-bluewater-monthly-dinner.html .

Adam Graham’s 10km Swim for his Bushfire Fund
Just to let you know that yesterday, Adam took to the Millfield School pool in the UK to undertake his 10km ( 200 laps of the 50m pool) swimming challenge.
He successfully completed the challenge in 2hrs 34 mins, comfortably within his 3 hr target.
His project aroused quite a bit of local attention in Somerset where Millfield School is located. The local radio station BBC Radio Somerset interviewed him before and after the event.
He asked us to pass on his sincere thanks to your members who kindly donated to his cause.
Here’s a link to a 3 sec video clip showing him looking rather exhausted after the swim!
