What is it all about ? the area outside the surf life saving club is cross hatched and as it was done overnight, was it done by the council or by the club or by aliens? Who can know. Like the mysteries of the sea and the boat that appears on the horizon sometimes as well as the creatures of the reserve, we can just look and wonder. And sometimes hit social media to wonder aloud.
Beautiful conditions to swim today as Russell and Cathy from Shellharbour (near Wollongong – and I was born in Wollongong Hospital so we are practically related) found on their weekend in Manly

The boat on the horizon – might be spotting elbows

What could these swimming costumes be heralding??

Getting in

Matt showing the waves

Just as I was complaining to myself about the glare of the sun it dipped behind a cloud. Michael agreed that this was good

Looking forward to knowing more about this… Interestingly, we use “hash” tag but I think it it related to hatching which is not pronounced the same way.

Due to government restrictions, this summer we will not be organising 6km or 10km swims or badges. Instead… we are offering the following badges:
-
Triple Manly to Shelly – swim 3x laps of Manly to Shelly Beach and back, any day during summer – distance 3.5km
-
Covid Summer Challenge – swim 30 times over 7 different weeks of summer
-
Corona Super Swimmer – swim 50 times over summer (check out the badge below)!
- I asked Ian this morning and he confirmed that any swim anywhere counts, but if it’s a COVID swim you only clock up 19 metres
* Summer: 1st Dec – 28th Feb

Thank you Elizabeth, wave conqueror! Very helpful to know that it only appeared last night as I was wondering whether I had just been completely unobservant on Wednesday….
