Same same but different Thursday 18.3.21

18/03/20216

This blog is coming to you from cloudy, rainy, sunny…not sure what the weather is actually doing…Byron Bay!!
Luckily I have my WOW Manly correspondent team in the form of Lainey and Amanda G.
The swim in Byron was beautiful. There’s always a strong current running along the beach and today was no different. Starting East and heading towards the surf club was today’s best option. I’m not sure of the exact water temp but my inbuilt thermometer aka my big toe, estimated around 25 degrees!! Lovely.

Here are some pics of today in Byron Bay!

My bro and hubby !

Meanwhile in Manly …

The A to Z teams!!!

This trio swam North and said it was bumpy, wild and exhilarating ! Sounds like a roller coaster out there.

A strong rip was running off the beach today! Be careful out there kids!!

Our Manly reporter Amanda says, “  Fi and I went from halfway. Dirty but still good enough viz to see plenty of duskies. Word on the street was it was really hard to get out and in through the surf and there were many failed attempts”

The Shaffer dad and daughter duo, Johnny and Lou, braved an early, albeit dark start to the swim today. Lou said it was “bumpy with some big sets but warm”

Before 😱

After 🥰

and of course after the swim we all enjoy our “beach appreciation” and coffee time! Same Same

Martin, Helen, Chrissy and Fi!! In perfect beach appreciation position!!

The ocean stole a flipper today!! If you have it please comment below to Juliette.

So again, a massive thank you to our contributors this morning and the sun is shining hot in the sky on NSW far north coast! I’m off to make the most of it.

have a great day…keep swimming

Thank you so much for letting everyone know about my fin. A few of us hunted, but to no avail. My fins are my superpower, and with life’s challenges atm, I need all the superpowers I can get!
