There was a biting winter chill descending upon the ramp this morning. More beanies and puffer jackets than I have seen in quite a while and the unmistakable sound of Ugg boots and slides with socks shuffled along the sandy path towards the surf club. Winter is coming!!!
I watched our Bold and Beautiful early morning swimmers bravely shed their woolies and head for the ocean. The water temp was markedly higher than the air temp at 19.6 degrees, although our 6.30am “crash test dummy’s” said the cold westerly breeze could be felt in the bay!
Smiles all round as swimmers simultaneously shivered and recounted stories of eagle rays at the point and dusky’s among the rocks. Lyndal said she thinks she spotted a bull shark in the shadows at 1\2 way. She said it seemed more scared of her than she was of it…! But, regardless she swam in the opposite direction! Keep a look out for it! I also heard reports that it may have been a grey nurse…I’m sticking with that! The water clarity is improving everyday, and although a little green out in the middle, there was plenty of sea life action near the rocks and towards Shelley Beach.
The morning in pictures below;
I love the splashes of the BnB!
The gorgeous Lyndal.
Bee rocking the beanie!
Ian…did you swim in a trackie???
Michelle and Martin, no matter what the weather, this pair are always looking hot!
How big was the eagle ray that Graham saw Kate??
This motley crew started later today. They were busy discussing poker tactics! Seems there’s more than one shark in the bay this morning!
Ian looking cosy on the top…
And on the bottom!
A long shower scene this morning!
Jo and Les bubbles all rugged up!
And big birthday cheers for Michelle!! Hip hip hooray!
So what are you waiting for?? Come down for a swim whilst the water is warm and the air is crisp.
Just make sure you bring a beanie…
Have a fab day y’all.
Fin Yoga xx
ps…the hot water hasn’t surfaced yet! Maybe tomorrow!
