In the spirit of lockdown the show must go on and I will continue the blog as temporary  ‘foreign’ correspondent.

4/8 Wednesday. Clear & crisp. Very calm atm. Becoming windy

Air temp: 10 degC (feels like 5.6 degC at 6.30am)

Water temp: (sadly this was left empty) so I guess in the 15’s

Winter swimming delivers its best of late with clarity and cold delivering in equal measures.

Country correspondent Bee sent an update from her farm in the beautiful Manning Valley of the Burrell Creek Beauties (BCB)

She was in quacking good form seen on the banks of the Manning with Basil and  Parsley (peaking) Ducks

This is Bee, her beanie and her river, she says the water is a chilly 10 C. Onya BCB’s. In admiration.

Lovely Lilliana a BCB, emerging from the Manning with Isis the dog like platypus in the background. Lily used to swim for Argentina, now farms with Simon and their daughters near Bee.

Away:
Meanwhile in Surrey … my neighbour has invited me to join her on her outdoor water swims. So far we exchanged swimming gifts. Manus again on photography duty which means a neck twist 🙂

Next blog I will hopefully have done a few outdoor swims. And survived. Options are the Thames, the Wey river and a lake somewhere nearby. Wey to go  #stayposted

My inspo for my forthcoming murky plunges … #🤞

Before I left lovely BNB WOW Clare gave me a vaguely bent twig saying it was the best ‘ boomerang ‘ she could muster. The message : come back #❤️
