When the War is Over

Only 2 weeks ago we swam nude to Shelley. It’s meant to be a turning point for a sunrise but it refuses to come up earlier. La Nina quietly wages war.

The rain has cleared. A magic morning. Fresh from the carpark I can see the Bombie breaking, swirls of spray. The swell is much calmer at the south end. A low tide, a longer walk, some chunky waves at the point. It flattens and we swim out. Some cappuccino froth over the bower, nothing like Felicity’s snow adventures at Curly yesterday. Warmer in the water. Although only 8 degrees out. The weather war is over, numbers up considerably today. Franji didn’t report any dustbin shaped stingrays. Maybe 2 foot viz. Salty. Nice walk with some sunshine up the ramp.

All around this chaos and madness. Can’t help feeling nothing more than sadness.
