Tuesday Feb 14th – Not for the faint hearted

14/02/20232

A relaxed start to the day for those doing yoga.

For those swimming, or deciding whether to swim, it was not so relaxed.

Tim, Brian, Inge and Ian assessing the conditions.

Andre, in the middle, lightened the mood by providing Haigh’s chocolate hearts to celebrate Valentine’s Day, with Chrissy, Nicci, Louise and Sam F.

Shelly reporting in to Michele and Martin that Shelley Beach was a safer option and that viz is very poor but water is a lovely temp at 22.2.

Some of the 6.30 swimmers who survived.

Scott, Jen, Millie and Glenn.

A few 7 o’clockers going in. Another warning that you should really assess conditions before entering as one of the swimmers apparently decided it was too big so headed back in but got smashed onto the rocks and has now gone to hospital. It really is sometimes hard to judge just how big it is from shore. There were a few who afterwards commented that it was pretty scary.

Watching the big waves at the point.

Shelley Beach was much calmer but a bit washing machine like further out.

Always nice to get in the water but as expected Manly was then closed.

Forecasted rain has stayed away so enjoy your day.
