Monday 6 March – attack of all of the jellies

06/03/20230

Hey guys

I wish I could say Happy Monday, but unfortunately the swim conditions this morning made me not so happy ☹️

I do enjoy big surf, but combined with a wall of jellies around the bower, dirty brown sludge in a similar location, and a news presenter there to report on a potential missing person – not a fun morning.

Poor Glen took his chances at 6.30 and came in to tell us that he got stung on the face ☹️. Some of my crew jumped in and found the wall of thousands of jellies themselves and so swam back North. Genevieve & I jumped in and body surfed a few waves, but even amongst the waves we could feel the horrible pink creatures smacking us on the legs. So we did a little jog & chat instead! On a positive note, the water was lovely at 24.4 😊

That’s all from me today!! Fingers crossed the jellies go away soon so we can all enjoy a normal swim again!!

See you tomorrow

Tilly xx
