The excellent conditions of the last week, and especially the Easter weekend, couldn’t last so it was no surprise to read Guy’s temperature report saying the ocean was grumpy. At least the sunrise was worthwhile and for the 7am-ers there’s not too many more before the clocks change and we’re back to lighter mornings.
Greg back from his pre dawn swim, so he didn’t see much but did report that it was bumpy all across the bay and with waves breaking beyond the point, not so easy to get in and out.
Beach looking pretty empty. A nice sight.☺️
Naomi, Henrietta and Cath talking options.
Bench also pretty empty but a few people getting ready to swim.
Jordan, Julie (having her first swim, hope you liked it!), Caitlin (Suzanne’s daughter out from London ) and Suzanne heading in.
Ian made no announcements so maybe it was just me (and Cath) that wasn’t keen 🤔!
Guy’s artwork and it was a lovely temperature in.
I walked to Shelley so could see it was pretty bumpy all the way with an easterly blowing, possibly bringing more bluebottles ?
Calmer at Shelley and proved a good choice for me as I bumped into overseas friends that I haven’t seen in a very long time so only had a very brief swim and joined them for coffee instead! As I got out of the water someone said they’d been stung by a bluebottle, so they’re out there.
Enjoy the last of the sunshine and Indian summer as that’s about to go too.
