Getting flatter and sunnier
After a break of a few weeks, it was such a joy to get back into the ocean. Halfway swim for me today, so a Shelly Beach view for this blog.
The water was more undulating than choppy, warmer than a few weeks ago and positively warm over near the boulders on Fairy B.ower
Being slower and taking breaks meant that the curious fish swarmed around, schools of big and little swimming past to look at me.
The baby stingarees are tucked into the sand, together with the flatheads. The sea grass is getting longer, so more turtle visits, I hope.
And then afterwards, that total calm and peace that follows the ocean immersion, where every pressing task just disappears and nothing matters.
That is the real benefit of this ocean, the reset and relax.
