Bluebottles in the swim. Seagulls (expected) and pigeons (not expected) and dogs covering the broad sand because it was VERY low tide I thought.
Some of the 630 went north but Sarah and Jon completed their earl swim in the dark and wove between the bluebottles. One swimmer refused to believe they could be there because the winds are easterly and northeasterly. It seems the bluebottles didn’t know about the wind and the pigeons were also unaware they are not seagulls – but maybe like me they have taken up open water swimming despite not being born to it
Peter Hutchins completed 2000km today and was celebrated with a tunnel in the traditional way
