Grey and gloomy, silky water

06/07/20260

Monday 6/7/26 IWT 18.3, OWT 14

Grey skies, strong current around the point, but the water was surprisingly warm and felt really silky on the skin.  Visibility not so good, but pretty flat across the bay, and there was a nice gentle push to help you glide into Shelly Beach.  Temp there was the same as the rest of the sea which was new for me.

We didn’t see a lot of wildlife, a female cuttlefish disappeared under a rock quickly, but we were graced by a turtle. Photos shows viz, she was only 2m down.

Fun swim back in, me and Martin stopped at the same time after not moving for a while to both say ‘this isn’t working’ 😂  Wide out towards the flags and we got in pretty easily.

Enjoy your swim, happy birthday to Simon for Saturday, Monday blogger, and me for today 🤗

Cheers,

Kerrie
