Saturday 4th July, IWT 16.8, OWT 10 degrees
Beautiful bright day, sun is out, skies are clear, and water is flat and calm. Just after low tide, water clear on the beach.
I hadn’t seen the IWT temp before I swam, just as well, so my initial thoughts that the water was cold was correct. Too late, no skins, so pleased to find that around the point and across the bay it was much much warmer. The normal cold coming into Shelly.
So many schools of fish, visibility not optimal near boatshed and across the bay, but enough.
My camera was out of battery so no pictures of the duelling male cuttlefish near shag rock, just had to enjoy them. I do have photos of yesterday, overjoyed to see the small GNS..
A gentle ocean, cruisy swim with no workout going out or coming in. The torn kelp and seagrass at the beach has moved back to the point which makes the walk nicer. Enjoy everyone,
Cheers,
Kerrie x
