En route to Manly I saw decent surf at Queenscliff and waves crashing against the cliff at Deadman’s. I wondered what South Steyne and the Bay were delivering. It seemd pretty OK but I wondered why the lifeguards didn’t have the flags with them while they were settingup the beach.
The reason became clear. There was quite a bit of water movement, and even though I thought it was doable, out of respect I made my way to Fairy Bower after some very interesting music based conversation with David and Bernhard.

Hazards are everywhere is seems

But the Fairy Bower entry seemed quite easy.

Fluffy Little Cormorant drying off after breakfast.

Considering the hammering our slice of Paradise has endured over the past few days, visibility was good. Lots of TUS about as well as this very attractive Giant Cuttlefish who seemed quite relaxed in my presence judging by the placement of its tentacles. They are some of the most amazing creatures I’ve been privileged to encounter and I never get sick of it.

I did go looking for a turtle but with no luck.
My next blog post will not be from Cabbage Tree Bay. Stay tuned.
Here’s some music celebrating the joys of being on the roof.
