Submerged rocks, hidden dangers

16/10/20250

Different conditions today. Northerly winds and a NorEast swell feel like summer conditions. For me that means we may have bluebottles, but if there were any today they didn’t find me and thankfully I heard nothing about them. If you do encounter one of those delightful marine treasures, the current treatment advice is to remove any tentacles that are on yor skin (you can do that with your fingertips and the skin there is quite tough and it doesn’t hurt) and then apply as hot water as you can handle, for example a hot shower, as that neutralises the toxins and relieves the sting for a while. And of course if you are experiencing any worrying symptoms such as shortness of breath seek medical advice ASAP.

Happy days I got the magic parking spot, never going to leave

These swimmers are undeterred by any hidden dangers, bring it they say

We have new swimmers joining this band of fine ocean swimmers every day such as this one whose name I can’t remember, despite trying hard

I swam with the amazing Edwina today and we ran into Kim, and later into her and her buddies

Post swim happies

What better that a Vitor special?
