I’ve been overseas for over 6 weeks and am so happy to be back in Manly swimming with awesome creatures and catching up with the as equally awesome B&B community! Giant Cuttlefish die after mating and only live 1-2 years so I’m very happy there are a few still around. Saw 3 this morning not too far from Shelly beach. Conditions were rough and choppy across the bay today but calmer at Shelly.
The marine creatures are amazing but the community of swimmers are even more incredible. Here are a few after their swim this morning.
A few of the great group ‘The Mermaids’ which includes many men!
A few more ‘Mermaids’
A large group of early swimmers broke through the surf this morning to swim. Here are a few of The Drinks Express
Milly and Andre generously bake and share cake!
Some new Pommy swimmers we hope will join us more, Paddy, Sam and Lucy
Very happy to still see Port Jackson sharks around! They love the cold water and come here to mate every year. If you see a large one it will be a female and will probably be chased by at least 1 or 2 males. Follow them to see some action!
Keep swimming!
