8.01.2019 Mary and Dawn are legends

This is sort of a Surprise Bog, so short and sweet.

I have admired Mary and Dawn and heard them chatting in the change rooms for many months, maybe years.

They are always in the wave as I arrive.

They are the kind of women I am aiming to be., fit, smiling, calm and energetic all at the same time.

This morning as I wandered toward a misty Manly beach, ambling slowly as you do when you are 45 minutes early for the 6.00am.

Early morning drop offs for teenage swimming training presents the opportunity to move slowly, quietly, at a pace that you can notice things at.

Today, I noticed Mary and Dawn, catching waves, laughing and talking. I sat on the wall looking for Queensliff and Freshie through the fog, and enjoying the joy these two ladies exude playing in the surf, before the sun rises.

I introduced myself to them and asked  if I could take some photos, they asked if I was from Vogue !!! They are glamorous ladies for sure, Vogue worthy.

Conditions were superb.

Water was clear and silky, the temperature balmy.

There were a few at 540am, a few at 6am, I swam for the first time with Megan and we had a nicely paced swim to Shelly and back.

I was gone before 7am, however I am sure there were plenty !
