I overheard several conversations about the coming of winter this morning but I assure you all it was not even in the air. A gorgeous 22 degrees in the air only to be matched by a simply sensational 21.2 in the water.
57% humidity and 5 knots to nothing of wind on a 30-60cm ESE 6 second swell. The air was clean and fresh following the holiday rains. Dawn thanks to Daylight savings was ushered in at 5.46am on a clear sky.
This morning the car park seemed empty with a crew estimate of only 80 and a few newbies feeling very privileged to have such great conditions.
There was no rush this morning for the early take off with such a cosy small group.
With a half tide and a small swell it was a very casual meander to the point.
As I walked down the ramp I wondered what I might catch with an over the head reverse photo. I didt see this till after I got back so cant tell you what Leslie was so happy about.
As we was leaving there was one last blog bomber pleading for a photo. I couldn’t resist and the path to the water was pointed out for me.
Lucy in the speed lane.
And Gale is definitely happy about something. Perhaps she has been talking to Lesley.
After a very relaxes amble to the point, we were finally given the lets go.
The Shelley stop today was a very intimate affair.
The more so the further back I went.
With water the same temp as the air it was a half in half out in the sun rest break.
With a low tide it was more of a walk from the point.
The stats.
And for those that are looking for a temperature indicator, Sky’s puppy was not taking any chances. Winter is coming just not today.
Have a great day.
Cheers
Brian
A couple of messages from management and other places.
At shelley I did over hear Sparkles asking as many people as she could get around to please refrain from trying to touch Teddy the turtle as it was not healthy and later captain Ian and the turtle whisperer (Nick Dawkins) also pointed out that there is a significant fine for interfering with (which includes touching) the wildlife in the Bay zone. Lets all observe from a distance.
Also Elizabeth asked me to remind people about the Art show and fund raiser for Dr Rays Charity (Australian for Womens Health). Details follow….

Who was the young lady who turned up at 6am (thinking it was 7am) and asked ‘where is everyone!?’ …a bonus hour! not sure you joined the 6am swim though?
