6 December 2019 New routines

06/12/20195

I really enjoyed yesterday’s blog where people recounted their favourite Christmas films. Very interesting. I like 16 Blocks with Bruce Willis because it has Bruce Willis, a bit of action, cleverness by Bruce’s character and then a good outcome. What more suitable film to close a much anticipated and often exhausting but good day?

Today we had to ask about the temperature, the shark, the closure of Shelly, where we would swim. So much to think about. It is hard when people are going in all directions to avoid a collision and deduce where the doublers are. So it was good that everyone was being extra careful

Here is Laura who was watching carefully for swimmers on her morning paddle

I love to photograph people in front of the palm tree. Imagine how much worse the air would be without the trees around us

Swimming where? That is what everyone is working out

I’m swimming pipe to pipe and running etc.

Out they go toward Queenscliff

Tapering off for the 6km tomorrow

B&B FUNDRAISING CHRISTMAS PARTY

Please book early for the B & B Christmas Party, which will be held on Tuesday 10th December at 6.30 pm in Henry’s Rooftop Bar (2nd Floor) at the Steyne Hotel. All swimmers and partners/friends are welcome (no under 18s unfortunately). The theme is simply “Christmas”, so come dressed in your finest Christmas paraphernalia. The music this year will again be provided by the band, “Gluteus Maximus”, who play two types of music, Rock and Roll! The cost is $15 per head, with all proceeds going to the running costs of the B&B. Book now! Don’t miss out on this fun event, as numbers are limited. Book HERE now!

I have been reading the Lucas Davenport series – Book 1 “Rules of Play” by the same author that wrote the Virgil Flowers series which was a light enjoyable read. Not as good. I will end the series there probably.

I am also listening to podcasts. I have subscribed to John Safran vs the Occult as I really like his book about extremists in Australia “Depends what you Mean by Extremists” and also his book “Murder in Mississippi”
