5.12.2020 Where do you draw the line? Are you swimming in your lane? Have you crossed the line?

05/12/20206

First blog since March…

A 5.15am drop for eldest son for a cadet camp has provided my thought for today. Off for a ‘drop in’ the Colo Valley, a couple of days of camping on ones own. My son said” it the end of year ‘Think Out’.”

It occurred to me my swim is my regular ‘Think Out’.

Roger, Danny, Clair and Mel helped me out with seeing how the

new lines could be used, swim lanes, running lanes, balance

beams and yoga lanes. ( thanks team for your excellent participation)

Roger drew my attention to Chalk Man …

Our Super Hero temperature tester 20.7 today.

This man appears sideways to protect his identity.

These are the Freshwater Braves …

Lily, Mandy and Louise ready for a swim, I joined them

for a crossing, younger and fitter, I had them only just

my sights, but appreciated the company.

And here is Suz and Simon…they begged me to be in the blog !!!!

How could I say no….??? such gorgeous smiles

Lastly … here’s to Jackie, a dedicated B&B swimmer her much rescheduled birthday 2020 is on tonight !!’ Happy birthday Jac…. just keep swimming …the healing affects of the water may be required tomorrow.

Have a great day

B&B Business

Due to government restrictions, this summer we will not be organising 6km or 10km swims or badges. Instead… we are offering the following badges:

  • Triple Manly to Shelly – swim 3x laps of Manly to Shelly Beach and back, any day during summer – distance 3.5km

  • Covid Summer Challenge – swim 30 times over 7 different weeks of summer

  • Corona Super Swimmer – swim 50 times over summer (check out the badge below)!

  • I asked Ian this morning and he confirmed that any swim anywhere counts, but if it’s a COVID swim you only clock up 19 metres

* Summer: 1st Dec – 28th Feb

You will earn and be eligible for any / all of these badges if you complete these swims and log them in i-Log

If you look closely, you can see sprinter Mel (lane 2) fully busted her blocks and took off at “Ready … Set …”
    Protest pending

I’ve never met a line I didn’t want to cross. Thanks Barb

Ha, ha, arrived in time to see everyone enjoying the lines not to be crossed!
Thx for the pic and yes we made it to Freshie and then to Shelly before home for a first informal 6k this season. Inez swam over a hammer shark and saw it clearly. When she screamed I went to her rescue but only managed to see its tail end!

Who decided that the whole area is off limits? Looks like occupation of disputed territories to me. Next thing will be Checkpoint Charlie.
