This weekend has a huge line up in store for us. From the Navy Ships arriving on our shores to the ARL Grandfinal, with the One Direction Concert being held next door, Long weekend, Daylight Savings to start, Manly Jazz Festival there is something for everyone this weekend.
If you didn’t arrive early at swimming this morning you would have missing the tour the Naval ships did to stop by and see us. Some of the swimmers even took the opportunity to swim out amongst the ships to take a closer look. Be sure to check out tomorrow’s blog for a full run down of the Naval Review. It’s sure to be full of interesting photos and some good laughs.
What a fantastic start to the day. Beautiful blue skies, warm water and weather. What more could we ask for. Here are a few of the regulars arriving early. The calm before the storm with 230 swimmers showing up this morning.
The girls Jaz and Laura were having a great morning entertaining themselves at Storchy’s expense. Doing the bunning ears gave them a good laugh. And here you were Storchy trying to be serious.
Everybody has their vices. Some peoples are stranger than others. Here’s Robbie with his and one of the reasons you don’t see him in the water every day.. Doesn’t really like to leave his buddy behind. It’s ok Robbie, we really do understand.
Laura and Jaz having a mexican stand off. Wonder how Robbie is feeling now.
Look at these three lovely ladies who continuously lift our spirts and bring a great atmospher to the B&B Team. Thanks Girls
And to the men who lift our spirits just for being their for the ladies. 😉
Stephen, checking in this morning with the new B&B App. I am listening Jeff. “Really how tall was it?”
Even Bill decided to get wet today. It must be a nice day if Bill is out.
Now time to get into the beautiful water with a temperature of 18.7 degrees this morning. It’s like a luke warm bath.
Toni, trying to stay try but failing miserably.
Even my sister Lara is taking the opportunity of swimming in the warmer waters. “See I told you Larz, it’s beautiful in”.
Look who else joined us today. Storchy. Well done for getting your toes wet today. Maybe as the whether warms we will be seeing some more of you in the water, on second thought, not too much more.
With few fish out today and murky waters around the rocks and shelly there wasn’t much to photography in the water this morning. I did see loads of jellyfish though.
and lots of this………
The waters were clearer around the point at Manly but not alot to take photos of. I did manage to get one good shot of a catfish.
Also was lucky to spot some Flutemouth’s
and a frog floating near the surface….
Visability was so clear around Manly Point this morning but where have all the fish gone.
Some of the swimmers bringing it home.
Bluewater Cafe has gone Pink for October and has loads of dinners organised with some Live Human Auctions. Our very own Isobel Kirk will be talking at one of events. See Sacha at Bluewater Cafe for more info.

Great blog, great swim (thanks for the chaperone, Storchy!), great brekkie with friends – so lovely to be back!
….and thanks to Laura & Jazz for taking care of the ‘sewing on badges’ operation and helping me out with my fruity gronola:-)

Hi Renae
i had my own naval review today!
Grey furry stuff!
love the penguin disguised as a toucan.
and how’s Binnsy, even in his relaxation downtime rescuing the penguin from rat and rattier!
He’s an angel sent to look over the pink caps
I heard there has been some developments on his challenge for presidency in the MLSC.
