We have finally come to the end of another winter and for some, there first winter with the
B&B Swim Squad.
We have had a few really cool days in the water, but all in all it wasn’t too bad.
Some may disagree.
We have been really fortunate this year having a milder winter than usual with over 35 days with the temperature being over 20 degrees, which I have been told is well above average, but I no complain.
Congratulations to everyone who achieved their 20 WWW Badges and to those who achieved their 20 Winter Swims Badges.
What a huge effort made by all.
So far we have raised $3,600.
for Bear Cottage.
Donations can still be made at
https://give.everydayhero.com/au/bold-beautiful-manly-www-challenge. What a huge effort made by all and a big thanks to Robbie to arranging it and keeping us all motivated at a time when we didn’t feel like getting out of bed.
Congratulations to John Foster this morning who completed every day this winter, 92 swims in total.

Hello Mr Jackson
I can’t have a blog without the cuttlefish
I love watching the stingrays glide along the seabed
The Port Jacksons are amazing to watch. So majestic. I have added a couple of quick videos watching them gliding through the water.
Here is one of the cuttlefish. I don’t think he was happy to see me today.

Congrats to Dr Jane who completed her 20th swim today to be the final person in our charity (splinter!) group to finish the WWW challenge. Big thank you to the guys for going outside their comfort zones over the last 3 chilly months and also for helping to raise so much money for Bear Cottage.

A rep from Bear Cottage is coming down before the swim on Monday 9th Sept to present us with a little plaque as a gesture of gratitude. Manly Daily might be down to do a little community piece on that day too, so blog tarts be on call! 😉
Lastly thank you to everyone who generously donated their hard earned cash to our group, your money is going to a great cause and will make a huge difference.

Ooh I like that you called him lucky puppy Fifi and not licky puppy so I’m calling him lucky puppy from now on!!
What happened was: Toni and I were moving to dogs to another location and as I was walking along he stuck his tongue in my mouth and i reeled back in disgust and trod on toni’s toe! 😀

Oh Shauny, you came so close. What on earth were you thinking going on that skiing weekend just when you were about to complete a ‘perfect www’.
You could have stood up there with John F, all 92 winter swims under your belt, a hero going down in BnB folklore, an inspiration to generations of young swimmers to come.. you could have been someone!!
..now you’re back to square one. Just that crazy bloke in speedoes who thinks he can speak to dolphins. Real shame.

Great blog Renae! You are off to get laid in Hawaii? That’s a bit rude isn’t it? 😉

No, not rude at all. I was leied in Hawaii in April, and also swam along where the Roughwater course is set, and it is awesome. Met lots of friendly people there, while swimming and whale watching and turtle watching. Definitely going back for more! Well done to all those who have raised $ for Bear cottage as well.
