3/11/2020 – Sunshine, Smiles, Small Surf… but not enough Sharks ;-)

03/11/20201

Well, swimmers like me who are forever looking out for Port Jacksons, Wobbegong and recently Grey Nurse SHARKS…were a bit disappointed with the lack of viz today but… it was  absolutely stunning down in our favourite corner of the world this morning! The ocean wasn’t calm but waves smallish and water 17.8!

I started the day with an attempt at yoga on the beach. It’s FREE by the way on Tuesdays and Thursdays 6-7am. I even got a head massage too! It’s so great to have sunshine and pink skies back after the miserable weekend.

Eloise, Suzette, Roz, Annie, Jacqui and Barb go for an early swim at 6am. It must have been amazing underneath that pink and blue sky!

6.21am and smiling Jon and Sarah head out for an early swim

It’s 6.30am now and The Drinks Expressers are about to head in. Here are John H and his mates

Good mates from way back Val and Jill catch up before their swim.

Olympic champ Matty Hayes trying to get back in his daily swimming routine after sailing around the world!

These guys used to swim at 9 and call themselves Buoyant and Beautiful. Now they’ve merged with The Mermaids and Manmaids!

‘Sucking their guts in’! JK and McNaughty

A great local solicitor John Forster and number 4 on Pacific Challenge!

Leisa, Natalie, Fiona (Notaredhead), Robyn and Amanda go in around 7.30am…

…as ‘The A Team’ come out. Sterls and Vinny

Some of The WOws at Shelly with Dave and Greg

These guys don’t get wet very often 😉 It’s Sam’s birthday today. Happy Birthday Sam!

This huge Smooth Stingray has been hanging around Shelly Beach for the past few weeks. I found him in the shallows on Sunday. I did hear reports of someone seeing Smooth Stingrays mating recently!

There was a sighting of a Grey Nurse today by Sarah. I saw this one about 4 days ago. I’ll call him Freckles

This big Wobbie with a gash out of him has been around of late too…

Great news from Dorset and Project Crayweed! There are now craybabies and juveniles!

Councillor David Walton and Sir Guy Dunstan’s birthdays today!

Simon and Ragnar with Sarah who saw the Grey Nurse!

Sue, Peter and newbie Graham (who is not sarm;))

Great Real estate Agent, swimmer  and supporter of the B&B Adam Moore. The word is he’s got 2 great Manly apartments listed at the moment!!

Guy with his son Tom who is ‘Single and Ready to Mingle’ but lives in Mudgee 🙁

What a fabulous newsy blog covering all swimming shifts, Lainey! Love the flattering angle too!
What a group of happy swimmers we are with these super conditions – well, I love the waves and sunshine!
Adam was certainly promoting those 2 great Manly apartments, so best of luck! x
