3-11-2021: Wild & woolly

It was a bit wild and woolly out there today summed up nicely by the above 2 photos. (Chrissie forgot to change her shoes this morn as she hurried out the door to meet the 7.30am crew)! The breeze and bump was playing havoc with everyone! Even hard core swimmers struggled to get through the waves back to Manly. One lady, who got out at half way, said she felt very seasick. Didn’t hang around to get a photo of that though!

I had three very good temperature models today – a relaxed gentleman, a seagull pretending to be interested in the temperature and Delvene Delaney aka Clare! The temp is on its way up so despite being wild and woolly, it was nice to be in the warm water!

This gentleman was contemplating how to take all three water vessels into the messy waves in one hit… would be interesting to know how it went for him!

Amanda, Jo and Shelley are ignoring the fact that it is 9.52am and they’d been there since 7am! Job and responsibilities? What job & responsibilities?

Sometimes things don’t go according to plan…the 8.15 swim turned into a 9am one! 😳 Long story- for another day!

‘Spot the hoop’! By the end of summer we should fill the tree so we can play ‘spot the hoops’- the game will then take a bit longer and be a bit more interesting.

Despite sitting in a wind tunnel having their post swim coffee, Janey and Alison were very relaxed! Alison has a significant birthday coming up on Monday so make sure you say happy birthday when you see her!

We weren’t sure what these guys were doing/filming on the beach today. Turns out they are selling two cool new e-mountain bikes called Budtrol! We offered to swap a phone for a bike which they weren’t keen on – probably because the prices range from $1,600 to $2,500!
