29/9/15 Time to shed the wetsuit 19.8

29/09/20152

Another wonderful morning at Manly.

We had a pretty big group on the 6.30am Drinky Express. 19.8 degrees, glassy and clear with the sun shining on our lovely little cove. Aproximately 80 swimmers today.

On the way back there was a turtle cruising around under us about 1/2 way back. Sorry, no picture.

Shelley and Gayle, enjoying the sunshine. It was so sunny even at 7am, it looks like sunglasses are the order of the day!

Melissa with her QLD guests. These ladies would be feeling right at home.

Some of the smiley girls at Shelley, really time to shed that wetsuit?

Have a fantastic day, Jenny :))

Special Event – Guest Speaker!

The next B&B monthly dinner will be on Tuesday 13th October at 6.30 pm at Bluewater Restaurant. The guest speaker for the night will be one of our own swimmers, Merrilee Linegar, who is a qualified nutritionist and herbalist. Merrilee’s topic for the night will be “Brain Longevity”. The way you live your life today affects how your brain functions tomorrow. Merrilee will discuss how natural medicine, diet and lifestyle improvements can optimise brain function, prevent memory loss and decrease the risk of Alzheimer’s. While most of us keep our bodies fit by swimming regularly, we often forget about our brains. Don’t miss this one!

The cost of the dinner is only $25 a head and includes shared entrees, a selection of mains to choose (incl a vegetarian option), corkage (for byo wine only) and a little thank you for the staff. Glasses of beer or wine and desserts are also available at the special price of only $5 each. Numbers are limited, so bookings are essential:  To avoid disappointment and secure your spot please BOOK HERE NOW,

Staying safe
Remember that there are no badges for scaring yourself silly! While it is great to extend your boundaries, it is important to know your limits.  Also, if you have a bit more experience, keep an eye out for new swimmers who might need company.
