You ever notice how the memories are made when there wasn’t enough money, you didn’t feel secure and you hadn’t achieved ‘that goal’. There was something missing and you were hungry for it.
Times of instability involve expansion of the self, when you’re stretching out to bridge the gap between chaos and coherence. Life is built in those not ordinary moments. That’s why they’re memorable.
Or perhaps it just that stability is very forgettable. Because, by definition, when you are stable you’re not going anywhere.
Welcome to another not-ordinary experience… Let’s go!

Warm Regards,
Andrew ‘Magichands’ Maher.

Our B&B swim is never forgettable, always awesome in one way or another! Thanks Andy, beautiful swim though it did seem a bit colder than 18.4 or maybe it was the air. I saw Shelly today and the cuttlefish. Great to have Ed down too. It’s Shelly aka Ian’s birthday on Wednesday. Come along for a nutty/seedy slice and wish him Happy Birthday after the swim!

The sight of the swimmers all hugging the rocks at the point on a small swell was great

The sight of you this am was great. One doesn’t actually have to swim to be part of our B&B clan, another awesome thing about it

Ian’s fiver hand is to show that he clocked up his 500kms today and the other Ian quietly slipped under the radar and clocked up his 1000km on Saturday. Remiss of us not to attend to arches – coming guys and WELL DONE ! Maybe we should have a three Ian’s celebration on Wednesday: 500,1000 and b’day

Talking of memories, I had a not-ordinary-experience this morning around 7.15 a.m. in Port Lincoln, SA… in the large pool alongside the Town Jetty. It was a mere 14 degrees. Oh, bliss bombs! I swam with two local women who have swum there every morning for the past 30 years, Sharon and Jo. And they know about B&B. Having left cossie and cap at home, I got kitted out anew at the local sports store… so NO WETSUIT! It was one of the best. Lovely intro today – thank you.
