28/10/2013 – The blog that Presents “Les Miserables” (Swim)

28/10/201310

(This works better if you get the tune in your head!)

LES MISERABLES

Cast: 34

Temperature: 19.6C

I dreamed a dream of clothes that were dry

When water levels were high

And life savers made a living

I dreamed that Dr John was a nice guy…

I dreamed that John Kelly would be forgiving (Of my wetsuit)

John Bond and Joe are young and unafraid

Storchy’s bootcamp makes us used and wasted

There were no sandcastles to be made

No songs at Shelly, we just got pasted

And still I dream you will swim with me
That we will swim the years together
But there are dreams that cannot be
Especially in this sh*tty weather!

LETS GO!

Keep swimming and smiling,

Robster the Blogster

one of the quickest blogs ever Robbie. I was thinking of you all this morning as I was listening to the rain. Looks like a great swim with plenty of smiles as always.

I was also thinking of you guys. Have to say I am quite jealous now I look at the pics and videos – would have been an adventure of a swim!

Rain hitting my window encouraged me to lie in bed until 7 o’clock then got up and had bacon on toasted Turkish bread with a large pot of tea. Regrets, I have a few, but then again, too few to mention. 🙂 Yet another reason to hate me !

Don’t listen to Robbie. I loved this morning’s swim: it was a truly wonderful experience. And there were plenty of parking spots!

    Hi all,
Just want to thank all ( even Robbie! ) bloggers as it is great to vicariously enjoy the swim through others speedo.
I and hence the girls have been out of action due to eye surgery, but enjoy the goss and snaps to keep up to speed.
See you all when able, at least another week. May bring girls if flat and let them rip.
    Love to one and all

Agree, great to read the blogs when no longer to join in all the fun! This is just the kind of day that Mrs Whale is likely to join in the fun too!
Mark, wondered why we didn’t see you all at the weekend before leaving. Hope you’re OK and hugs to the girls til we return, end Nov.
Sunny and clear in Hong Kong and water temp in the dinky pool where I had a token swim was exactly the same today: 19.6!

Hope all’s well with the eye Mark – hope to see you and the girls soon!
I also thought twice and was reluctant to get up. My husband asked what I was doing and I said “just deciding whether to get up or not”. His reply (“why wouldn’t you?”) spurred me on, as did something that a friend said – you never regret a swim!
It was a cracker of a swim anyway – well worth getting wet for! Swimming in heavy rain is one of the best things ever, although seeing a lightening strike out to sea was a bit concerning at one point…..
