In the early morning light the Yoga devotees were told to get closer to their day and to make a difference with a smile to at least two strangers.
The early crew on their way back in.
The executive pondering the conditions
Lesley offering some additional wisdom to the pondering.
The sun getting closer to kickoff.
Water Temp check, colder with the nor-easter yesterday.
Not a cloud to be seen
Derek impressed by the Rowing technique
The bomb
The brisk walk to the bank.
The edge
Clean and blue is the best way to describe this morning
Beware the sidekick photographer
Unmasked Ian the Sidekick
Off and cruising
Halfway hustle
Flight QF12 inbound over South Steyne
The Wobby Hunter
Racing Sea Mullet
The return leg with not many wetsuits left.
Lots of bubbles in the flurry home
Schools of Drummer off the pool
The green green grass of the home stretch
The Breakfast ramp
Contemplation for Ian and Wilf
Showers were quick this morning given the size of the squad
And breakfast was worth the wait especially for Terry
And now a community announcement for Eva. She is over from the Czech Republic for a working holiday and loves the swim but we cant bear to watch her shiver at breakfast any longer. She is looking for a ladies medium size wetsuit that someone may no longer need or is interested to sell. She is swimming all this week so if you have one look out for her. (she is the pretty one).

The learned gentlemen have assured us that the content will be both informative and amusing. Don’t miss out on this important event – book early!
To mark this occasion, we have a new and improved menu with more choices. The cost has increased slightly to $25 a head and includes shared entrees, a selection of mains to choose (incl a vegetarian option), corkage (for byo wine only) and a little thank you for the staff. Glasses of beer or wine and desserts are also available at the special price of only $5 each. This is still outstanding value. Numbers are limited, so bookings are essential. BOULDERDASH – Started on 27th October
The Boulderdash has started and will run every day until the end of Summer. The start time is just before 6 am at Manly Surf Club, and the route goes from Manly to Queenscliff and back (3 km total). You should be back at the Club just in time for the 7 am Shelly swim. If you are intending to do the Boulderdash, can you please swim with the group at the correct starting time (random swims during the day do not count). The main aim of the Bold and Beautiful is to provide a fun group activity, so we request that the “regulars” please welcome any new swimmers who wish to try the Boulderdash for the first time. They will feel much more at ease if they are swimming as part of a group.

The recent gorgeous weather reminds us that summer (and Christmas) are just around the corner and the inevitable question, have you started your christmas shopping yet?! Wetpatch® makes Christmas shopping easy for Bold and the Beautiful members, offering $10 off the RRP. Wetpatch® car seat protectors are the perfect gift for that loved one who enjoys swimming and other outdoor activities (or you could just buy one for yourself!!!!)

Great blog Brian.
Stunner morning. I’m sure there were more than 7 bolderdashers. I spotted at least 10 passing us on the way. Fess up and tick, whoever you are!
Jane, world class bomb. Kudos.

Amazing morning for a Boulder-Shelly, BUT, Lips had me race all the way from Queensie to Shelly so he could bomb another Mary Shelly pic only to have been totally out-manouevered by Brian:-))
Great job, Brian…..super pics and captions. You’ve got a job!
p.s. for those who’re 2 hrs in the water like me, 2 wetsuits are recommended!

I happen to know Les-Bubbles that you are 100% correct. Her name is Shelly Beech, not Mary Shelly but just like Frankenstein…….

Eva, I am selling my medium Orca wetsuit. It is top of the range so might be more up-market than you want, but I’ll bring it for you to try on tomorrow morning. You can swim in it to get the best impression – I should have done that before I bought it. Then I realised it was too tight on me (not for a moment did I think I was too fat for IT).

Eva – this is the link to the wetsuit – I’m not sure if it still has the patterns on the sleeve but you can have a look tomorrow.
